Inspired by Bauhaus design, the hause stool is a minimal and contemporary piece designed to explore manufacturing methods and how materials can be exploited to interact with each other.
The cantilevered frame is made from 24mm bent steel tube finished with a matte black powder coat. The curved laminated seat is made up from 7 layers of Beech veneer that are vacuum formed to then clip onto the frame with no attachments or adhesives. The main outcome of this design was to strip back all unnecessary elements and let the simplicity and form speak for itself.
Materials: Steel tube & European beech veneer.
